Preventing Scratches: Using fibre matting to remove grit, dirt and moisture together with sweeping the floor regularly can help keep the floor scratch free. Extra protection can be provided in the form of Amtico International Floor dressing.
Scuffing: Cleaning using Amtico Floor Cleaner or gently rubbing the floor with a wet, non-scratch scouring pad when cleaning can help prevent scuffing whilst cleaning.
Sticky Floors: Removing solids first with absorbent paper, then washing with diluted Amtico Floor cleaner is the best way to remove grease. A second mopping is sometimes required to remove any dull residues. Washing up liquid should be avoided.
Staining: Blotting the spillage with absorbent paper and washing with Amtico Floor cleaner can assist in removing the stain. If necessary, using a wet non-scouring pad, you can rub any remaining stain with turpentine*. After 30 minutes you can then rinse with water.
*Ensure children and pets are kept well away when using a substance such as turpentine on your Amtico Flooring and are kept away from the area for the duration of cleaning until it is all safely removed. If in any doubt check with manufacturers guidelines.
