Semi-solid (as its also known) engineered wood flooring combines several wood layers to create a cost-effective flooring with a high quality surface. It has a soft wood centre core with a hardwood layer securely fixed on top. The unique methods used to create engineered flooring make it a lower cost alternative to solid wood flooring, yet it is hard-wearing, beautiful looking and a stable product, often at a cheaper cost. Engineered flooring can come as a bevelled edge or a flush fit system.
Engineered flooring comes in a range of thicknesses and widths. Most engineered oak flooring is about 15-22mm in thickness and approx 110-200mm wide. Usually laid on underlay and glued at the tongue and groove joints (this is the most common but a clic system is also available). Most engineered flooring comes pre-finished so once we install your new floor you have that finished look straight away, with nothing more to do than admire your luxurious new lounge oak flooring. Whether it is your hallway, dining room or just a bedroom floor you are thinking of, we can source whatever colour you are looking for including white oak flooring and black oak effect.
Our engineered timber flooring is available in oak, walnut, ash, cherry, maple, beech, black oak and a wide range of other finishes. Engineered wood flooring can be fitted as a floating floor onto a sub floor made from timber or concrete.
